China CITIC Bank’s Tsim Sha Tsui ESG Flagship Branch, the bank’s first flagship branch with an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) theme, has officially opened. This branch is notable for its pioneering use of solar glass, a three-story installation that is expected to generate approximately 200 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity per month for the branch. This initiative marks a significant advancement in renewable energy utilization within retail operations.
The branch’s commitment to sustainability is evident in the ESG dashboard located in the lobby. In the past two months alone, the ESG flagship branch in Tsim Sha Tsui has achieved substantial energy savings and resource reductions, equivalent to the avoidance of nearly 300 trees being felled. These results demonstrate the tangible impact of implementing energy-saving measures.
