HKU Academic Building, 3 Sassoon Road,
The new academic building is situated at No. 3 Sassoon Road and is an integral part of the University of Hong Kong’s Sassoon Road Campus’s long-term development strategy. The building will serve as a healthcare-related teaching and research facility for the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine. This initiative aligns with the Government’s efforts to enhance the intake of medicine, nursing, and dental students to address the shortage of healthcare professionals in Hong Kong.
The project encompasses the construction of an eight-story academic building, encompassing a basement level housing laboratories, teaching, and research facilities. This new building is designed to support the long-term development of the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine. It will provide ample space and infrastructure to accommodate the teaching and research requirements of the faculty.
